We are excited to announce as of November 21st, we will be at our new location 2900 10th Street SW, Suite A.
Our new location will be easily accessible for our patients and allow room for growth.
We will continue to provide the same quality of care for our patients that we have over the last 21 years in this new and improved location.
We are a private practice developed with the sole intent of providing quality outpatient physical therapy services to our clients. It is our professional opinion that the client is best served when a licensed physical therapist is providing the care to the patient “each and every visit”.
After a thorough evaluation by the therapist, a personalized program will be developed to address your specific needs.
If you are experiencing pain – whether from neck or back conditions, musculoskeletal sprains or muscle strains- the staff of First Choice Physical Therapy may use such modalities as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, dry needling, IASTM, therapeutic cupping TENS, traction or iontophoresis to help alleviate your pain.
The therapists at First Choice Physical Therapy believe it is important every client has the tools to maintain their health after therapy. Each client will have a home exercise program to continue using long after their therapy is completed.
It has been estimated that 42% of the adult population report episodes of dizziness or vertigo and in patients over 70 it is the #1 complaint to physicians. The good news is that with the proper exercise, balance and dizziness symptoms can significantly improve. Our therapists have received specialized education in the treatment of dizziness and imbalance.
Our staff has worked with orthopedic physicians to coordinate the follow up physical therapy treatment necessary to provide a successful outcome following your orthopedic surgery. From spinal fusions, ACL repairs, meniscal repairs, total joint replacements and tendon repairs we have the knowledge and expertise to assist you in obtaining your goals after surgery.
Following a stroke or TIA physical therapy will assist you in obtaining your optimum independence. Treatment may include gait training, strengthening, activities of daily living and home assessments.
In physical therapy you will learn therapeutic exercises designed to preserve the range of motion and strength of your joints. As the arthritis attacks your joint cartilage it is crucial to maintain flexibility and strength throughout the joint.

ERGONOMIC INITIATIVE PROGRAM
Workforce Safety & Insurance (WSI) provides exclusive coverage of the state’s workers compensation insurance. WSI services approximately 20,000 employers and has approximately 40,000 claims each year. Of these claims it is estimated that as many as 35% of these injur4ies can be associated with poor ergonomics in the workplace. To address these concerns WSI has partnered with North Dakota businesses to address ergonomic concerns in the workplace. The Ergonomic Initiative is an onsite program that may include:
• Ergonomic assessments
• Development of an ergonomic intervention plan
• Training of employers/employees
• Researching equipment/interventions
• Assisting employers with completing the Ergonomic Grant Application
• Follow up visits to ensure interventions are effectively being utilized
Under the Ergonomic Initiative Program reimbursement is paid in a 3:1 match with the employer, with WSI paying 75% of the cost and the employer 25%. This is a wonderful opportunity for employers to provide a safer work environment for their employees at a great price! First Choice Physical Therapy has worked with numerous businesses including manufacturing, office, oilfield, service industry and healthcare. First Choice Physical Therapy has been identified as an approved provider for services under the Ergonomic Initiative Program since the beginning of the program in 2009.
ERGONOMIC GRANT PROGRAM
In participation with the Ergonomic Initiative Program, WSI is offering financial assistance to be put toward the purchase of ergonomic equipment. This grant is only available to employers who have already participated in the Ergonomic Initiative. Through this grant employers may be eligible for a 3-to-1 matching grant with WSI contributing 75% of the total grant amount or up to the lifetime maximum award. The maximum award is based upon the Standard premium for the most recently completed premium period. The lifetime maximum award is from $2,500 to $20,000.
